Hi girls!! Lets talk!
So how is everyones training going? Mine ok iguess.. check this out. I go to 24 hour fitness, and sometimes i go to the new one where my BF works.. and its roomy there sunny bright lovely! High ceelings.. (this is important to me) I'm fine.. I squated 145 just fine.. and then i go back to MY gym by my house in SF, and its a great gym as all the right equipment for lifting vs. other gyms BUT!! the weight room is dangerously stuffy and the ceeling are sop low that a petite 5'2 woman can almost touch them! I get soo hot and tired that i get weak!! I try to talk my self out of it, i even go so far as to say "come on you lil bitch LIFT DAMNIT" lol and i'm still like UGH!! I mean what do you guys think about this ?? Also.. What do you think about Creatine? Think this will help me!

I don't know if you'll like creatine or not sweetie. You may not like the fact that you lose your definition while you're on it. I don't like how I feel on it normally. It does really help for a kick in the butt though. If you want to try it, maybe just use 3g and see how u do on it. Make sure you drink lots and lots of water too.(4-7 litres a day). This will prevent and cramping and whatnot. When I'm dietting, I stay away from Creatine cuz I don't like that full look. Just my two cents sweetie!

Why don't you switch gyms if you don't like it there? My gym has amazing equipment and it's nice and big, with the nice high ceilings but a lot of people spend more time chatting than working out and I get really pissed off. Not that it's really any of my business what they do while they're their but it frustrates me. I want to say "that's why you look like that! You're suppose to train when you're at the gym!"
But instead I just keep it to myself!

I like my gym. It's in a new location, high ceilings, great lighting, all of the equipment is in great shape, perfect temps and ventillation, even the music is good. Most of the staff are ok...some better than others. We have a shake bar, they always have bottled water stocked in the fridge...I can't imagine leaving this place. They have a few tanning rooms too. The showers and bathrooms are always immaculate. It's a World's Gym.
My training has been non-existent for the past few weeks due to surgery and now a little infection, but my diet is doing well and my bf is continuing to drop...very slowly, but this is how I've been doing it for nearly 2 yrs. now...SLOWLY. It works for me. I had been at a sticking point and maybe this break is what I needed.
But I do miss the gym something fierce and can't wait to get my butt back in there! I've gone in just to say hi to the people who were askin for me and to weigh in. After the infection is cleared (I'm on cipro) I'll be easing myself back into the swing of things...damn it's gonna feel good!!!

Ok, I shouldn't be here in this form answering questions but as someone who is married, here's my two cents. I take Creatine and for men in adds water weight which for women is not a desirable trade off for a little energy. I also take Ephedrine products, either Diet Fuel by Twin Lab or Hydroxycut (which is harder to find). My wife will pop 2 tabs before here 4:00 am workout which is enough to jump her motor. I take about 9 caps a day. Last night I worked out 3 hours and still had energy. I don't recomend that dossage for you women a couple caps will give you a pretty good jolt.
My two cents.... Now back to the mens board where I belong.

Frisco...if you're lookin for a little energy booster, you might wanna try the sugar free Red Bull about 20 minutes before you get to the gym. I'm not sure about the nutritional benefits, but it does help me out if I'm feeling a little sluggish.

it all boils down to oxygen
seriously though.. the larget gym with higher ceilings has more air flow and less humidity. The gym with the low ceilings has more humidity and less air flow making it harder to breathe. Less air means less energy
that is why you can stay up all night in casinos.. LOTS OF AIR!!! they pump out fresh pure oxygen non-stop
so next we will see bbers carrying around oxygen tanks for better lifts hahhahaaa

I don't make a practice of 3 hour workouts, just one crazy night. I was doing chest, (:60) which is usual for me, triceps (:30 min), felt good so did some calfs (:20 min), still felt good so did some abs :30 more min, noticed a hockey game on the tv so went up and did cardio for :40 min (or one period in hockey time).
I usually do about 1 1/2 hours normally but I was just in one of those moods and felt like expending some energy.

Supergirl, the only thing I notice in a casino is smoke? I wish pure oxygen was being pumped into the just one of the last casinos i've been to and I nave been to quite a few. I do agree with the concept as it pertains to a gym. There are two gyms in my area one single level and one double level (with an open loft area). The openess makes such a difference to keeping the place well ventilated and not so humid.

They still dont understand... It's mostly the "weight room" too.. i'm transfering to Golds or Worlds i think

Just for the record Frisco, those avtars of yours are very distracting at work. They make me lose focus and concentration. Not as good as the real thing but good just the same.
KEEP THEM COMING!

Frisco I gotta say there is no substitute for a gym you feel 100% working out at. Some will say...stop bitching and lift.... But I say if I am going to be mentally happier somewhere else than that can mean more energy and poundage. There is a Ballys I go to that is subpar and every time I go there my workouts suck. They have the same machines only they are old and creeky. I always drop 10-20lbs on every lift....something I cant afford. Find a better gym hun...its worth it.

Definitely stay away from the Creatine...tried it a longtime ago and looked like the Staypuff marshmallow man...
I found these pills called "Purple Passion" when I was up north in Redding last week...all I have to say is that those things make Xenadrine look like baby aspirin...
let's put it this way, I made it home in 7.5 hours where it should have taken me 9...
