My wifes difficult task
I find myself pretty knowledgable but i can't seem to solve my wifes quest for dropping some unwanted weight. I'll set the situation, 5-5 140 early 40 very muscular, carrrys muscle very easly but not stocky, she is curvy, no drugs, the problem is she cannot loose the ten pds she desires. Well dissiplined has been taking in about 1300 to 1500 cal per day, cardio 4 days a week for about 1 hr each session or close to that, this along with her weight training. Factor she is having issue with her thyroid & is on synthroid, not a large dose. What is the secret to beating this road block? She dose her 4 to 6 meal a day thing and quality food, dose she literally have to starve or take in 700 cal. a day until she gets to the desired weight of 130???
Hopefully their is a magician out there somewhere.

Well she's taking synthroid so I assume she suffers from hypothyroidism? That can be a hurdle to weight loss.
Secondly, her stats sound pretty solid to me. Why is she trying to loose this weight? Do you know her bf%.

I think her bodyfat is between 19 & 22 not sure what is more recent. I guess she just liked the way she looked at 130, that was 10 years ago but even still why is the weight not budging, eventually even hypoth. has to give way to weight loss with proper food monotoring, Right?

Could you post an example of a daily eating plan for her? That might give us some ideas to help.

I'd throw in some oats on meal one. If she absolutely HAS to have the prepackaged bar on meal two add a tablespoon of flax.I don't see any green veggies in there anywhere. Throw in a salad with meal 5. Definately make sure she's taking a multi.
Also remind her of this.... it took ten years for her to accumulate these pounds. They aren't going to come off overnight.
