Default Another poster who seeks help for his sister.

Just checking out some info in the women's area for my sister. I was looking for total caloric intake for a female. I found a lot of info on how many calories females should not be eating, but not much on what they should be eating. I was thinking it should probably be the same as what a guy should be eating, but I wasn't completely sure.

So for example a guy who weighs 180 should eat somewhere around 180x20 = 3600 cal. a day to be bulking up, what would be the equivalent for a woman, and what about cuting too?

Thanks

oh no dude she would be fat as hell off 3600 cals. Thats like hardcore chick calories. Put her around 2400-2600. girls that dont work should eat around 1600 just to let you know. So a girl who didnt workout and ate 2600 but only needed 1600 would gain around 2+ pounds a week. Thats way to fast. My girl bulks up pretty fast at 2400 cals. And she works out hardcore but doesnt cardio because she is naturaly ecto. She lives a very active lifestyle also. I would offer to get her exact calorie ratios and everything. But i lost my cd for the nutrition program i had from one of my classes. If i find it ill let you know.

You could go to fitday.com and find out how many calories she's burning and use that as a guide.

yeah i figure thats probably the best way to do it. I was just wondering if there was like a general rule to follow for chicks like there is for guys, and what ratios thre should be for fat/prot/carb.

rippednick i appreciate the offer of finding out the exact calories and ratios for me, let me know if you find that cd. Thanks bro.

No ideal ratios for men or women. I've known women that do well with high fat and others that do well on moderate carbs, and others that do well on high carb. Just gotta experiment to see what works for the individual.
