steroids..babies...contraception

firstly some anecdotal information

after some years of competing and using the milder steroids (var, primo)
i started to wonder if this would affect my ability to have children. I started researching and of course couldnt find anything relevant!

But unknown to me i was already pregnant! Unexpected but i definitely felt blessed and now have a beautiful baby girl.

so, there can be babies after steroids..

BUT! can there be steroids after babies?!

I'm now on implanon, the contraceptive implant which is progesterone.

Is it possible to use mild steroids while having the implant? obviously it isnt ideal to have female hormones going in but can you still benefit from a steroid cycle?

Hey Alana..

congrats on the baby girl!!!

There are many women who use steroids while on birth control.. perhaps if you do a specific search using the keyword birth control you may find the posts..
Also, considering you are on a progesterone based one, you may want to research the compounds in the steroids you are considering and see which ones interact with progesterone to get a better idea of what to use and what to stay away from..
for example, some of found that primo is not good with progesterone bc but anavar is.. etc...

If you find any great research, feel free to post it up here and if it's top notch, I will make it a sticky for other women to benefit from.
