Nolvadex (Tamoxifen)

Ladies.....

I am curious to hear about your experiences with Nolva........Tamoxifen. When you used it, why, for how long, with what other compounds during or close to, etc.

Please PM me if you are uncomfortable sharing in open.

And I want to hear about other females you know who have used it....why they did and what they thought.

Well, the women I do know who have used it reported more 'hardening up'. But, honestly, I can't give you a detailed description on the spot. I am curious myself and have a female friend that I'm sure has tried it, so I will ask her next time I speak to her. I've heard that females, however, shouldn't run the stuff for too long, obviously because we still need estrogen as the dominant hormone (assuming femininity is still desired) and if used for too long without gradually tapering off can result in a bad estrogen rebound.

Welcome to Ology Karen! You put your gender as male....I'm assuming you are female......

Nobody PM'd me but I'm assuming if I had recieved the info in a PM the poster would want it kept private. However......

I did ask this question on another board and here are the responses I recieved......

I have a couple of clients that use it for contest prep with a duration usually lasting upwards of 10wks. Starting at 10mg nightime administration and peaking at 20mg. Slight deepening in the voice occured with both females, but this subsided after the contest. One has paired the nolva with arimidex and the combo did some great things for hardness(she was also on some other mildly dosed compounds). Timing and diet are paramount, though.

Then I inquired.....

So you are saying the deepening of the voice did go away? Completely away? Or were there "trace" amounts of deepness.....for lack of better terms.

And he responded.....

One of the clients is my best friend. I didn't even notice her voice deepen, but she could tell and said it resumed to normal pitch after she came off. The other woman I did notice a light drop but her voice is higher than dog whistle. Hers, as well went back t normal about a week post contest

Nolvadex is usually taken after the end of the cycle to prevent estrogen rebound from occuring. This rebound is going to happen anyway. So if you can stand a little water gain don't even take it .

for contest prep its usually started 6-8 weeks out at about 20mg a day. 10mg am 10mg pm. it works great for getting butt and legs lean. just taper off at the end....for about 10 days.

In my experience, the rebound with anti-e's is much more costly than the benefits... especially if you are estrogen-dominant. however, i would recommend bloodwork first- if you have a cool doc, you may can even get it prescribed for you at lower doses that will be tapered exactly for you. i have a friend who competes and she went to her doc with high estrogen levels (from after a cycle) and got a prescription for nolva and arimidex.
