On a side note, I get envious every time I see your avi. Not just because you're a rockin' hot mama, but because of your bathroom. We purchased our first house about 6 months ago. I totally agree, by far the hardest thing about parenthood, I am useless the next day if I don't get a good night sleep, my youngest would get up 3-5 times untill she turned 2, I was literally on Zombie mode.

Mt, we bought our house about 10 years ago & it was built in the 70's, the girls bathroom was bright yellow, tellow tub, yello tiles, yellow paint on the walls, That was the first project we tackled...
Yeap, the 70's called & wanted their batroon back

Hey, well at the end of the day I managed to squeeze in a pathetic 25mins of cardio. I'd rather do something than nothing!

Today, I got a good hour and a bit consisting of all of the elements I like to work on, cardio, bodyweight resistance, some gymnastics strength training and painful extreme stretching all while he was asleep. He only slept in long because he decided to keep me awake from about 3:45 am onwards. I basically had about 3 hours sleep last night and my husband is on yet another business trip to Germany so I have a lot to do on my own. I did it, I'm sore, I know what needs strengthening up and a have my battle plan in my head next week.
If my workouts seem strange to people it's because I train the things I did for my fitness competition. I keep training that way because I got the fittest and trimmest the quickest that way. I think I might one day want to try another fitness comp so I like to try to keep up with the discipline. Only difference is I'm breastfeeding still and get no to very low sleep, which really makes recovery hard. sometimes I feel I've gotten weaker because I haven't had enough rest and sometimes it's like in some ways I'm stronger. Swings and roundabouts people!

MMM, sounds yum! lol - When we bought this place, we gutted it and turned it into a complete shell. Started everything from scratch and chose every thing from tiles to light fixtures, you name it..even the screws! I was solely responsible for the tiles I recall - thank yah

So an update of tummy pic from this morning. Can still see the pregnancy line going down from my belly button. I'll try full body shots next week, need my husband to do it and he'd been away. Will get on it soon - pwomise!

Even though I see some difference, the real difference will come when I stop nursing, eating like I am (not totally clean by my standards and portions are whatever I feel like) and sleeping more than I do at present. It's been a real trying week, some nights getting 3hrs sleep, but still trying to get some work done when he sleeps some in the morning.

Girlie, you look amazing! I agree with not being too strict on the food intake while nursing. Not that healthy choices shouldn't be a priority, but if you're hungry, eat. You're body is making food for another human being, after all. But of course, you already know that .

The sleep issue will get better....eventually. I'd love to tell you it will be very soon, but alas I can make no promises as to when. Keep plugging on and fit your excercise in when your youngins and time alloes. You're doing great!

Thank you Jenner - it's not easy by a long stretch, but it's also a mental thing. If I don't do it because I'm tired, I feel miserable. A lot of the time, doing something gives me an energy boost to get on with my day. But obviously on the most hellish of days where I really would only benefit from resting, I do it - reluctantly!

Just a quick update. All of last week I stuck to training no matter how tired I felt be it some basic gymnastics and bodyweight training, hiphop/street dance practice, or some yoga I did whatever time allowed. I was extremely sore all week and now being a family Easter holiday in the Isle Of Wight (a small island in England) I'm having a few rest days. I'll be horse riding tomorrow with my daughter and her cousins and there'llbe lots of running around with them in general. I know I'll get a lot of cardio activity with all the kids but resistance training might be a miss. The wine glass has been filled a few times and the diet is whatever my mother in-law dishes up. I normally bring my own food, but the sense of joining in with family isn't the same like that. I looked in the mirror last night and almost liked what I saw lol! But when I'm back home, i'll push it further again and see what happens. New pics soon

    Thank girl!

OK, so I have still gotta update pics, I had a brief break from training and started back yesterday. The break did me good because it gave me a chance to heal some, coming back to it I've noticed strength increases and better coordination Though my body looks the same to me, but pics will help me see it better for myself. Much to do (in my eyes) but I need to remember that I had a baby almost 8 months ago and I'm still nursing so the lack of sleep, the breastfeeds and need to eat as much as I do to just function will always impede progress. I'm not taking anything due to this so it's as natural as it can be

Thanks girl! My husband bought a new camera a few days ago and is tinkering with it now after taking a few shots of our daughter doing her amazing flexibility stretches She's amazing, she can lie on her tummy and bend her knees to touch the top of her head, then she moves down to her nose, and then moves her toes down to her mouth!!! So the sleep thing is STILL an issue! Still averaging between 3 - 5hrs sleep, not feeling super human, but I'm still doing some exercise. I have to build up again. Tomorrow I might just shock my body and throw in some olympic lifts with some snatches to generate more power. On pics by end of the week

I feel for you and your lack of sleep lady! You're a trooper to still motivate yourself to do workouts. Your daughter's flexibility is amazing! Sounds like she could earn a living as a contorsionist...lol! Enjoy laying with the new camera

So an update of my midsection after baby
Still need to hold to my word and get a proper photo of everything, always something to do and just forget, easy to snap my torso with my phone in the bathroom mirror lol! I think I have slight loose skin on my lower abs and down the front middle. Yeah I know I had a baby 8 months ago (he's 8 months today ), and yes he's still waking through the night and needing settling. I now just think he wants cuddles. It's my legs that I need to get pics of but they never come out in my phone pics so you can't see what I want you to see. That's where I have to make my Mr get his phone out and just snap away...

Just comparing my recent upload to my avi...a mixture of emotions between "yay I'm not far off!" to "damn I'm not there yet!"
