Ironicaly, the gym is the only place I haven't tried to pic up a date from.

For me, the gym is "my" time.....where I go to get out all the days frusterations. I'm very serious about my workouts, i don't really talk to anybody, i don't go to check out women.......I put my earphones in and do work. There are always a ton of beautiful women there but if they feel half the way I do about my workouts then I do not want to interupt them.

I met this great Guy the other night at a MS Charity event I attended in my swim coach's honor. We hit it off right away, we are both single and have exchanged numbers, he performs in a band and I am going to one of his upcoming shows. He is a little different from the normal type of men I am attracted too but there is something about him that Draws me closer to him. This is the fun stage, the getting to know eachother stage (I will say this, I wanted him to bite me. I have a feeling he is a lot like me. I can just Sense these kind of things.) lol

Not to hijack your thread...but I have a question for advice...
How does a fit, decent looking unapproachable girl like myself approach a fit, hot guy that is also unapproachable? (at the gym) We both totally stare at each other.. but neither of us will make a move. I think we are scared of each other! lol

approach him, simple as that. I would almost never approach a girl in the gym just for the fact that i wouldnt want to make them uncomfortable, if one was to approach me, well then thats a different story

I have noticed some are way to cocky. But after a while they come around and are not too bad of guys. They just take a while to open up to you. This one guy would just look at me from afar and not say one word to me. He now converses with me and wants me to do deadlifts and other exercises with him.

I think sometimes because you percieve a guy as big, muscular, etc. him being quiet and not approaching, while looking at you or whatever comes off as arrogance or cocky, when in fact its the opposite. not that he lacks self-confidence, but he's almost intimidated? to approach you. Im not scared of any girl, dont care who it is, but come gym time i feel weird approaching girls..i have a gf anyways so its irrelevant but in general i know people think im an asshole, when in reality its the complete opposite

ladies, ladies, ladies... Some of us were taught to respect women. I would never approach a woman unless there was some sort of eye contact or smile to give me the go ahead. I'm not shy, i'll usually say what's on my mind - smilee can vouch for that - but, for me, it's all about respecting one's space at the gym. If i don't see the signs, i'm not going to do anything more than say "hi".

I would date someone my height or shorter. There are a few ppl in my life, that I like and their height isn't an issue with me.

Well I am 5'8" and love my heels (although I don't wear them chasing my son around during the day), but going out I am more than likely going to be 5'11. lol But I am only 123lbs. Anyways, I guess it really depends on the guy, I have come to realize it is very hard to find a guy taller than me that is my taste in face and body. My ex's have all been around the same height as me or a little taller. But not by much.

Guys seem to love that I am tall. If they don't then maybe they are insecure about their height?

Whoa whoa whoa.... haha I have no idea how tall you are... but if a guy wont date a girl (if she is perfect in every other way), because she is an inch or so taller, then I think that means they are insecure about their own height. Why would me being tall be a prob? Worry about me being a smoker first =p lol.

I def. feel like i can take care of a shorter girl rather than one thats taller than me, maybe because she looks up to me or I feel like shes looking up to me to be there? if a girls taller and looking down i guess i feel like she doesnt think I could take care of/protect her?

You know its funny.... When I am sitting somewhere I get hit on a lot more than when I am standing in my heels. My bestie says it has nothing to do with height, that they are just intimidated of me period? idk... When I am not wearing my heels, I am not in full make up either, so maybe it makes me look more girl next door?
