Should I eat before I train?
I train early in the AM and I do not eat before i hit the weights, should I be eating before I train? or is it ok to do it after. What is the best way.

might want to try some fruit before you train and a pro shake just to get some cals in you and get some energy

Yes, you should. Depending on how long you have slept, you could be going 8+ hours without adding any cals, protien, carbs into your system. Wake up a little earlier, and eat a nice breakfast, and you'll be amazed at how much more energy you'll not only have for your session, but also for the rest of the day.
Don't forget your shake right after your session, and your meal 1 hour after.

I would definitely try and eat something before you work out. You need energy to fuel an intense workout. Even consuming a quart of gatorade would be a good idea because the fast acting glucose will provide your body with energy stored carbs.

Try getting a cup of rolled oats in your body before your w/o you can make it the night befoire and its like rocket fuel...It's actually very damaging to your body to not eat before a workout

after you wakeup your glycogen stores are their lowest for the day. Heavy workouts that early without eating do 3 things .. (1) you'll never be able to have workouts at peak strength, (2) your endurance will be lacking so forget forced reps, (3) your body will tap into bodyfat and muscle to overcome the lack of glycogen in the muscle - thus impacting muscle development and retention of the muscle.
Obviously, get some food in ya as soon as your feet hit the floor from the bed.

to get me going in the morning, i would usaully have a yogurt and a protein bar or a shake if i can handle it that early...most of the time i couldnt. but eating before a w/o always gave more energy to push those wieights just a little more.
