    What's up guys, I know there's a sticky above on this but seems real outdated. I just started a 5x5 routine (off cycle) to change up my routine.

    First day was Chest and Tris

    Flat dumbell press 5x5
    Incline 1 arm dumbell press 3x10
    Pec Dec 3x10

    And the end of the last set of each exercise 10 pushups.

    Tris
    Close Grip 5x5
    Overhead rope extensions 3x10
    Bent over Dumbell kickbacks 2x10

    Anybody recently or currently doing something similar? Any suggestions are more than welcome. Thanks!!

    im doing DC right now and prefer it as my go to change of pace routine. ive done 5x5 before, good results. but DC is just amazing. i hit PRs almost every other week

    Nice, I'm going to do 6 weeks of the 5x5...what exactly is DC?

    5x5 worked well for me, believe it or not it actually produce some growth in a lagging spot. But that also may have been me getting better at form at that time(chest). I then moved on to Optimum Volume Training, and love the shnitz out of that.

    When Im on a bulk cycle or want to add some mass I always use 5 reps but nor 5x5.

    I start with a warmup, then go to 10 reps, then 8 reps then the last set will consist of 5 reps. I do this for two weeks then switch to warmup,10,8,8. I do this for two weeks again.

    Then I go 1 week with warmup,10,8,8,5 & dropset.

    I feel this is the best way my body grows since in a month, im focusing on strength, hypo therapy and intensity

    Yea I love 5x5. I've been doing it on and off for several months now. Its a great program. I switched to higher reps for a month or so and just started back on 5x5 again. Feels great to go heavier again.
