pullthrous 3x15 with the stack
45 degree hypers with a mini around my kneck 12 10 10 these just burn the fuck out of me
ghr's, they are getting lower so i went for a full one after a few 2/3 sets of 6-8 and and almost threw up and blew all the blood vessels in my eyes trying to get up, lol. I think my hams are getting stronger

Please try to explain how to do a glute ham raise.
Thanks.

some guys do them bending from the waste while other s do them bending from the knees. i hope jcp is bending at the knees.
heres one that incorporates both parts of the movement. some guys do them only with bending at the knees while others (me) just do the bottom part with band tension.

i did it like that, except i can only get to 180 degree, i cannot go under. They are god awful. Just bending at the waist looks like a hyper, i do those as well with mini bands.

we call them glute ham raises going from 90° to 180° or better. heavy band tension. i use the blue monster choked down several times. i havent tried one from 180° to 270°.
our machine isnt built like that one. on leg curls i can curl the stack with a bunch of weight added but we dont do these as it dont translate over very well in my book. anyway thats a very similar movement.

And that is a great ham exercise in your opinion, or is it just another ham exercise?

for massive strong hams. deadlifts, sldls, gms, rack pulls, pull thrus, glutes/hypers (the way i do them) reverse hypers.
leg curls just dont feel right and you cant go nearly as heavy as you can with other compound movements. i always make my ham workout a compound movement and do them on back day. quads is their own day.
does this make sense? sometimes i aint zactly clear. =0)

I task my trainees to do them all the time and then get an email or phone call saying WTF, they couldn't get one full rep! Yes, they are damn tough.

I am actually glad i am so weak their, it is such a glaring weakness at least i have a good plan on what to do, and how to fix it, and an easy analysis on how to get stronger.
