Default What supplement do you take in conjunction with TRT?

After reading Dr. Shippen's book The Testosterone Syndrome, I began using the supplements he recommends to maximize the impact of testosterone replacement. He suggests adding vitamin c, zinc, and resveratrol. He additionally recommends consuming soy protein, but I've heard soy inhibits testosterone production, so I didn't heed this advice. Shippen also says to avoid grapefruit juice. I used to drink a lot of it before reading his book.

Here are the supplements I'm currently taking:

Vitamin C
Zinc
Resveratrol
Creatine
Glutamine
Whey Protein
Fish Oil

I think it would be interesting to learn what others are using while supplementing testosterone.

Whey, Zinc, Vit C sometimes, Fish oil less frequently.
Since Zinc does help with the boys, even when totally off cycle, I do stop taking it for a while before blood work since I want the lowest results...

I've read that book, but it's a little old (2001) and he's pretty anti-injection for treatment. There's a good one published less than a year ago that I'd also recommend. How long do you stop taking your zinc and aas (above and beyond the doc prescribed trt) before your blood tests?

Im assuming you dont do PCT either since you are just going back to your normal prescrition when off?

DHEA and Pregnanolone are necessary when on trt to keep your nuts from shrinking too much as well. HCG when cycling

AAS three months prior to be safe; but you can cheat on how long it's been since your last injection or go a little long to be sure. 3 months will give you an accurate look at where you are in your TRT (shorter is kind of ok, but there's still some extra test in your system, and a few points on TRT levels can make a difference, mine was 395 initially and I just barely squeezed under the 400 window... the "TRT clinics" probably don't care though, but your regular MD or Endocronologist will unless you have documented normal levels when you were younger much higher than where you currently are reading)

I just have to go back once a year for bloodwork now, so I'll probably try to do that; although possibly a shorter time off on the zinc, etc. Just planning out the next year to end my time off with the blood draw and then ready to go again if I want...
