Who's on doctor prescribed TRT ?
Suggested info for summary;
1- Age
2- How long on
3- How many mg and frequency of injections
4- Are you on as a result of cycling steroids

1 age 46
2 roughly 6 or seven years
3 script is 300 mg every 2 weeks , taken 150 mg every week.
4 hormones crashed after back surgery , no cycle involved.
this is legit hrt with MULTIPLE blood test used to determine doseage.

1 - 20's
2 - 3 months
3 - Getting bloodwork done every 3 months to get dosage right. Right now 100mg/week
4 - Had testosterone issues with starting pueberty, that's why the Dr. was so quick to put me on TRT, but i'm sure cycling had a very bad effect on my body's natural production.

I've been considering it. But I may have some health issues to clear up first. It's been too long sense my last cycle.

seems like many on trt are not blaming steroids. so do you think a lot of guys out there could benefit from HRT but dont get it because they arent familiar with using test? my old man would probably love to use some.

i think that its old school thinking and pride that keeps a LOT of men who would benefit greatly from trt from useing it. after my surgery i kept blameing the feeling like shit on surgery for a long time before the blood work . less than 2 weeks after the 1st injection i felt better and my energy was way up , im not smart but im smart enough to know that trt works for me.

My dad could certainly benefit. hes approaching 70 and has been putting on weight even though hes plenty active as he plays competitive tennis 3-4x week, and doesnt eat bad. I keep telling him how hes a prime candidate but i think its the stigma of steroids that keep him away.

My Dad too. He suffered for the onset of Diabetes for 15 years causing Cholesterol issues and Heart disease . A double bypass and a bad Calcium blockages. i finally go him to Do Chelation therapy. It is like roto router for the circulatory system. After 1 year of treatment her is completely clear.
It's time for trt for him. He won't pay for it. I had to pay for the Chelation.

I know it's possible to permanently mess up your body's test production if you go overboard with steroids at a young age, but how "overboard" would someone likely need to go? My first time with steroids was a dbol only cycle right after I turned 18. I didn't use steroids again until I did a seven week cycle of Test E 200mg weekly about a year and a half later. I've done two cycles this year (a 5-weeker and a 15-weeker).
I know 4 other guys who began using steroids in their late teens like me...so I guess my question is how much would it take (in general) for a person who started young to wind up being on trt for the rest of their life?

It doesnt take going overboard, sometimes one simple cycle is enough. Thats why we preach at the kids who are wanting to use at an early age. Your HTPA is much more fragile while still developing.

I still can't understand why male hormone therapy isn't as popular as female. I'll be on when my levels drop.

You should have your levels checked to see where they are in your late 20's to have a reference point.

1- 30 years old
2- 4-5 years
3- 100mg/wk, although the official Rx states a higher amount
4- No cycle history prior to TRT
However, I spend more time 'on' than I do 'TRT'.

Apparently, there are quite a few men using Androgel or Testim now. I prefer the injections, but I'm glad that more men are able to reap the benefits of TRT now.

1) 49
2) 9 yrs
3) 100mg once wkly (cyp)
4) Andopause, yes we experience "the change in life" too. My endrocrinologist said that my below normal levels had nothing to do with my past use of steroids and everything to do with nature. I'll be on it the rest of my life (fine with me). He stated that there will be no health probs with long term use and that the negative press on steroid use is a load of crap....."you would have to abuse one hell of a lot it for a long time to suffer any negative effects".
