Default The cure for stomach problems caused by whey...
How many of you have stomach problems from drinking whey protein??

Even if it's only mild I'm willing to bet quite a few of you have some issues.

If you do, it's highly likely that the culprit is a lack of healthy stomach flora. You don't normally get healthy stomach flora just by eating a variety of clean and healthy foods. You generally have to go out of your way to obtain it. Via yogurt, or a probiotic solution.

All of my stomach problems from 300+ grams of protein a day completely disappeared after I finally hopped on a probiotic. I've taken them now for years on end and have zero stomach issues from mass amounts of protein.

If you would like to give this a try at a reasonable price you need look no further than NTBM's own web site. 1 cap per day is all it takes for me, though some use two a day. I haven't felt it necessary yet. It is however, important to pay attention too the "keep refrigerated" suggestion on the bottle. Since it is live bacteria, it can and WILL die if not kept cool, thus rendering it useless.

You can read more about the product here and purchase if you would like:

Advanced Probiotic will help with proper gastrointestinal tract (GI Tract) function.

This is good stuff, I think all bodybuilders would benefit from a probiotic.

Yeah high protein diets can really give you a lot of gas and bloating. I def think taking a probiotic helps. I just started taking one a couple months ago and notice the difference.

Egg protein is of course very high quality, however there are times when I would prefer whey. Also, no denying whey is cheaper

    I always use multi-enzyme and PB8 probiotic.

Good product guys -- also please only use HIGH quality protein isolates

Such as various isolates from TrueNutrition. The best quality protein I have every tried.

If you have not used them -- you need to!

MATTP saves you some money at checkout

I think if you dont have lactos issues good quality when con (over 75% protien min) Is great also, you get some things, that are lost at times. but whey con I have only ever bought from TP/TN also. the iso-whey is nice also. but sometimes when bulking in winter i will alternate and mostly use simple whey Con and works just great, enought not to be able to tell if bloat is whey or from extra food.
but be VERY VERY weary of ANY Whey Con, 80% of it out there is not very good.

here is some more info on this product for those that are interested!

Probiotics are among the top three most rapidly expanding functional food categories in the United States. You've seen them in yogurt and other dairy foods, but what are they exactly?

Well you've heard of antibiotics, right? Those are the pills you take when you get an infection.Antibiotics kill bacterial infections.

But in general, something we call biotic is an organism or a living part of one. A probiotic is something that PROmotes that living organism. There are hundreds and hundreds of different probiotic bacteria found in the human digestive track, and they're responsible for maintaining a healthy digestive process.

Probiotics have recently become the one of the most talked about, and researched, products in the nutritional world and for good reason.

The European Journal of Clinical Nutrition published an article that examined subjects who consumed twelve weeks worth of a fermented milk product containing the probiotic Lactobacillus and found that there was a 4.6 per cent reduction in abdominal fat plus a 3.3 per cent reduction in subcutaneous fat. Body weight also dropped by 1.4% while waist size decreased by almost 2%. A previous study in the British Journal of Nutrition showed that probiotics may reduce both fat cells and fat levels in animals.

Nutrition Journal also published a study on competitive male cyclists showed that probiotic intake could result in a decrease in symptoms of upper respiratory tract infections. Professor Mike Gleeson from Loughborough University, who specializes in researching the links between exercise and immune functioning, says that probiotics have shown early promise for general health purposes by potentially reducing the incidence of infections as well as the duration and severity of illness.

So while probiotics are relatively new to the nutritional supplement scene, they've arrived with a seriously impressive body of research to support their use for both general health as well as burning fat
