Question Protein powder and hot water??
Here's a stupid question...have any of y'all tried mixing protein powder with hot water?? I just realized that my chocolate whey protein tastes a lot like hot chocolate and I figured since it's -1 outside right now, maybe that would be a better alternative to the real stuff...but I wasn't sure how well it would mix with hot water...

    Not a bad idea I guess . . . .

Haven't tried it but I would assume it should work well, especially if you threw it in a blender to really mix it well.

I do it accidentally sometimes when I turn the tap to hot instead of cold (I'm usually out of it and not paying attention after a hard workout). It's pretty disgusting if you ask me

I just figured it would probably clump right up and be chunks of chocolate protein floating in a diluted chocolaty water substance...but if I boil the water, maybe that would be better than just really warm tap water?? I dunno...Just thought someone else might have tried it...

It will probaly denature the protein, but thats not really all that bad. Considering eggs get denature when we cook them, and they still are a good source of protein. IT just breaks the bonds, it doesnt really make it useless.
