    Cardiff Muscle's PCT Log.
    Hey Bro's, this is the follow on to my recently completed "Cardiff Muscle first journey" log where I ran 400mgs of Test E each week.

    I decided that aside from logging the up's I think it only right that I log, what in my opinion, will be the down's....aka post cycle therapy (pct).

    Iíve waited for the two weeks for most of the Test E to get out of my system and now begin the 16week post cycle therapy (pct) program. A little long, yes, but initially I will be running 100mgs ED of Clomid this week, 50mg ED for the next 2 weeks then 30mgs ED every week to the end.

    Finishing my cycle I got to the grand old weight of 240lbs. checking the gym BMI I finished at a body fat percentage of 15%. I put this down to the 5000+ calories I was consuming, which pasta played a key role in the carb intake. For post cycle therapy (pct), I will still be shooting about 4500-5000 cals, however I will be dropping the pasta as it totally bloats me and although Iím running post cycle therapy (pct), as I lose water weight, I will be doing light cardio in an attempt to shed some of the body fat. I know this isnít recommended but is more of an experiment, if I start to lost too much weight too soon, I will drop the cardio.

    Currently Iím in the first week of post cycle therapy (pct) and I have dropped around 2lbs so far, so Iím around 238 at the minute. My lifts are still strong although I don't seem to have the power to burst through the last sets that I used to a month ago.
    I donít feel demotivated as I know that this is part of the process and I believe the post gear depression is down to one's mind set. As Iím a positive person, I look at this as the end of a cycle with the goal of being able to start another gear run next year.

    I will state though that the biggest and noticeable issue is lethargy. Unlike when I was on cycle, during the day and in the mornings Iím very tired and not as eager to get out of bed. Iím tackling this by going to sleep an hour earlier than usual. At the start of this week it was terrible, although four days in its now bearable.

    As per my last log I'll update this weekly to log more my general feeling in post cycle therapy (pct) rather than weight loss both in bodyweight and gym weight.

    Why the long post cycle therapy (pct) ?

    Lethergy for me was awful, I wanted to dieeeeeeeeeee. Just make sure you lift nice and heavy and keep your reps low.

    Personally from now on I don't think I will try and cut while not on a cycle, it's just to much of a catabolic state.

    VERY glad to see this kind of log man! It's the ugly side of gear, but also the inevitable. No one likes to talk about this aspect of things, it's always, "I gained 58lbs of puuuuure muscle" and then you never hear from them again.

    Very interested in this log bro ... and as I mentioned in your other log, I'm glad you can coherently construct a sentence using actual punctuation. It's just .... nice ....

    xTREME - no probs bro, just wanted to document everything in regards to the cycle, that its not just all gain, gain, gain and look at me Im huge! The younger bro's need to appreciate that there is a lot more involved in cycling than what their glorified image maybe. Its a test, a way of life and not something you should consider doing lightly!

    Lucky - Good to hear your cycle's coming along well. The long post cycle therapy (pct) is just preference. I didnt want to hit up high doses of clomid in an attempt to get my natural levels back quicker. Slow and steady wins the race, and this is my honest oppinion on everything I do

    I know Doc J likes to do low doses of clomid, maybe ask him what he thinks about the duration; I'm not sure it's 100% required and a 3month post cycle therapy (pct) is an awful long time...clomid can have sides such as eyesite issues, mood swings..I'm a member of quite a few cancer sites and many moan and moan about side effects, with any drugs it's about dosage and duration so with a 3months you might want to be careful...

    Howdy Juice hounds, and welcome to my second post of my post cycle therapy (pct) cycle.

    Thankfully the lethargy has calmed down a lot. Iím still tired in the morning, but itís not such a struggle to get out of bed like it was last week. The extra hour in bed definitely has helped in my opinion to straighten this out.

    Iím down a total of 6lbs, which isnít bad considering that I have been doing early morning and late afternoon cardio. Not much, a total of 45minute's everyday, but it's helping. Strength is down, which is obviously, however I havenít lost any noticeable size in arms, legs, chest etc. Thankfully as well Iím starting to see slight separation again in my legs, back and arms (providing that Iím stood under the correct lighting )

    Another plus, is with the cardio. On the stepper or cross trainer Iím no longer getting short of breath quickly, which was a big problem whilst "on". Also my nuts have gone back to nearly their normal size and Iím popping boners in the morning and randomly so I think things are starting to get back in to balance.

    Diet is tight as ever, although I've now dropped the Pasta for brown rice. In another month, I'll begin a proper cut and get some more fat off.

    So far (and itís only really week 2) it isnít all that bad.

    Yo man what is your post cycle therapy (pct) routine by the way? Nolva? Clomid? Hcg?

    15/10 Late update
    Hey Xtreme, Iím just using Clomid; the dosages are at the top of the post mate.

    Right then, sorry for the delay in posting but had a shaky week and things are only just starting to settle down now. Last weigh in last week was 8lbs but now things seem to have stabled and Iím not seeing anymore loss aside from any additional Cardio work.

    Happy to report that after 3.5 to 4 weeks my nuts have come back to their full and potent size. I was a bit worried as I had heard horror stories that some guys packages never go back to the fullness they once had or take ages to do so. I attribute this to the low dose I was running and the fact that I've got an understanding missus who did a lot of additional massaging, lol!

    Another point to note, and I find this bizarre, is my temper. Before I was a very placid and happy go lucky guy. Whilst "on" I was a little short tempered but nothing really noticeable. However, now Iím off it seems like I have zero tolerance for anything! I fly off the handle way too easily and get wound up by things that wouldnít have bothered me in the past. It seems that everything else has gone back to normal yet my temper has worsened and has no visible way of getting back.......again this is very strange and I don't have any answer for this.

    I will continue my post cycle therapy (pct) Clomid at 30mgs every day for another 2 weeks and then I will finish, a lot sooner than I had planned. Apart from the temper thing, I feel like normal again and all in all, I would say my cycle and post cycle therapy (pct) has been a complete and satisfactory success.

    Will continue to update this post if anything else happens, but at present everythingís seems to have gone to plan.

    Let your hormones finish adjusting and hopefully the temper will even out.

    I've heard Clomid can affect your emotions pretty heavily....I was also pretty pissy when going through post cycle therapy (pct), alot of it was the frustration of being weaker, less highs in the gym but mainly I was pissy because I wasn't on a cycle which gave my life so much more purpose and direction.

    So if things stabilize what is your current weight gain in total and how much fat do you think this consists of ?

    MoM: good point, I forget that the Esters take longer to leave the body, and as Lucky said, I reckon a lot of it is frustration as well, lol

    Hey luck, tbh a small amout.....I would say around 10% of overall gain was fat, hardly any. I attribute this to diet mate. I very rarely cheated as I can get anal with diets and stick to them religiously without getting bored.

    I broke my nose fighting when I was a teen and ever since I havent been able to smell anything and most food taste's like chicken. I can taste hot spices, but everything is just plain to me so I dont get cravings for anything.

    If the diet is clean, the gains will be good and the fat amount minimal imo..

    Cardiff,

    Clomid is notorious for causing mood swings and then combine that with now lowered test levels (which are notorious for causing irritability, moodiness, lack of focus, exhaustion, and a host of other sides) it's no wonder this is happening.

    I would venture to say once the clomid is done you will reach a better mood and then once you are back to producing your own test fully, things should be all good.

    That would make some sense guys! Hopefully when its all fully out of the system I will regain a little bit of patience.

    Started cutting again now, I know its not advisable but again this is my test. Im dropping around 2.5lbs a week through diet, heavy weights and light cardio at the end of each training session.

    To be honest since I've started doing this, my mood has lifted to a degree. Its great to put of the size initally. However seeing definition coming back and obviously seeing more size around it, makes you realise why cutting is so important! Why pile on the size and bulk if your not going to show it off.

    Key places so far are quads and arms. Nothing amazing as yet, but in another 13 weeks, Im sure this will change.
