    got to the gym...felt like an animal today..dunno why hadn't been in 6 days so i was kinda excited to get back in there. my diet is lookin good but im not droppin wt? its staying constant..but my abs are showing a lil along with my obliques. so i dont get it...maybe its muscle mass. im not taking any thing except a fatburner and some protien powders. no creatine or PH/PS or any gear...hhhhmmmm... oh well. i chokin down over 215g of protien a day right now and some were around 200-400g of carbs a day. and what ever fat comes with that. although my diet has been comprimised a few times by a pregnant wife...lol when she wants pizza or to eat out at the local pasta restraunt its hard to say no and not eating what shes eating is not an option...lol but i try to make up for that with lifting harder and eating better the next day.

    hmm..gimmie til tonight i will post everything i ate today..only thing is i dont keep track of the times i eat. i kinda wing and go for 2-3 hrs between meals. i also change my diet up for work out days vs. days i dont work out.

    I hate doing set after set with no break. I don't have any energy. I need about 3-5minute breaks between sets to regain my strength.

    I love the 5x5. Its been giving me huge results. 8x8 is all fast-paced?

    i love 5x5 too but i wanted to try something new and yur right the rest between sets is nice. i thought 135 would have been a good but it was to heavy, should have went with 115. the good part is it will bring up one's endurance so i will be going between the 5x5 and 8x8 from now on, atleast for a lil bit.

    i would like to be shredding but im really having a hard time of it...i have spent so long bulking or maintaining that i dont think i know how to do it as well as i thought i did or im just not trying hard enough. i do not want to rely soley on fat burners for fat loss. although about a yr ago i ran stackers3 and did 45 min cardio everyday (5 days a week) for 3 weeks straight and i loss 15 lbs...but my schedual now does not permit that kinda time for cardio. i get 2 day of w/o time every three days.

    50x8-6sets 30 sec rest had to drop wt right after the the sec set of 90

    seated leg curl
    50x8 too light immediately upped to 70 still light just dropped rest
    70x8-7sets 15 sec rest between sets

    lying leg curls
    70x8-8sets mostly 15 sec rest a few 30 sec rest peroids

    very fast paced leg work out...

    calves suppose to be 8sets of 20 (yea right)
    smith mach standing calf raises

    135x10-5sets all 30 sec rests had to drop reps though

    cardio
    20 min cycle after legs 183 cals burned

    got to the gym not feeling like lifting..by time i left i was hurting, could walk straight and had a hell of a time climbing 5 sets of steps to leave the gym..lol over all i had a great work out for not wanting to go at first...glad i did now though.

    great news also i dropped 3 lbs since my last gym visit..down to 215..hey its a start right...i think if i can keep this up i can get down to 190 or so at 10-12% BF which would be ideal i think...

    Nice job! I can't wait to start cutting to get rid of the extra bodyfat I have... Its getting a bit embarassing/annoying to look in the mirror to see a bit of a double chin sticking out.

    its all part of that 8X8 work out..designed to help with fat loss?? i figure it cant hurt. http://www.fitren.com/res3art.cfm?compid=18&artid=90 i am not following it to the letter, but i am utilizing its princable idea's. i am going to combine 5x5 and 8x8 together for awhile to see how it goes.

    and i understand the thing about the dbl chin and extra BF..just dont let it get outta control. when you get up to my age it becomes much harder to get rid of it.lol. slow and steady for the bulk is how it should go. 2-3 lbs a week if possible. same with fat loss too.

    **also does anybody else find it hard sometimes to do these do to the upper pec muscles pushin up into your throat as you tuck your chin??**

    felt good in the gym..lots of energy. rest was kept short between sets, due to wt used. next time all wts get moved up.

    did 100 yrd dash bout 75-80% effert X 4 the 1st 2 100 yrd dashes i did 10 push up's per corner for 40 total push ups
    then went to do 50 yrd sprints all out effert x4-5 sprints
    **i tell you what i felt like grizzlie bear trying to run a 50...i was smoked**
    i spent maybe 25-30 total min running like this..then my and my oldest son (8 yoa)threw the football for about 20 min..over good cardio and father/son time

    Very nice job so far w/ the quick sets.

    I need to start doing some abs, I've been pushing them aside because of my bulking phase.
