Exclamation Pre - contest diet

Right im 7weeks into my contest diet already. I started out with high protein moderate carb and low fat. I gradually reduced my carb intake as th weeks went by and was seein good gains.

On th 6th week I decided to change my diet to high protein and high fat with very little carbs just comin from fiber, say 40g per day. this was done monday - friday. The reason for this was to change th body over from burning glucose to fat for energy.

And on th sat and sun I began to carb up with high protein, high carb and low fat. The reason for this is that I wanted to experiment with carbing prior to contest so i know how im feeling and how im looking

On th monday i did expect for my muscles to be full and still look ripped with veins popping out everywer as they wer the week b4. But wot i found is that my muscles wer full bt i looked a little bloated and looked alot leaner wen i was on high protein and high fat.

I dont want to make the mistake of doing this wen i step onstage in 8weeks.

Need sum feedback. should i carry on th same routine bt lower my carbs on th carbs up weekend? they wer around 350g/day. Or shud i go back to high protein low carb and low fat?

Hi hope your diet is going well. I have two tips which you can reasearch at your own leisure.
Tip 1 = When incorporating Carbs in your pre contest diet I would and have used two supps called Chromium Polynicotinate and Vanadyl sulphate ( reasearch each supp and you will see the benifits of using these minerals) In short if you have 6-7 meals a day I would have 10mg of V/s and 200mg of c/P with meal 1,2, 4 and your post workout meal. the carbs you eat with these meals need to be something like white potatoes or any high gi carb which will spike your insulin. These minerals will force all the carbs to your muscles quicker than going without and will bypass any fat cells, it will also keep your blood sugar from spiking. Test this for 3 days and see how tight, full and drug like you look. if you don't believe me get yourself a blood sugar testing kit and test yourself without using the minerals for one day by using quick carbs and see how high your blood sugar goes ( the best time to test this is the meal after your training, test before, during, after and again 15 mins after taking in some high GI carbs, then test again with the two mins and see the difference. If you do cardio before breakfast take these supps in addition before you go to bed, when you get up for a piss in the night, this will lower your blood sugar and ask your body to use more fat, you will feel this working if you have a slight headache in the morning, this is quite normal and nothing to worry about, also take these supps just before your am cardio, your body will have no choice but to use more of the fat stored to get by.
Tip 2, if you decide to go the high protein and fat way ( which I don't think is the best) when carbing up do not use any quick carbs or you will look as smooth as a babies backside on show day as you will be holding lots of water.
I hope this has helped you and if you need more advise just holla

Right as im going for high protein/fat route, on th week of th contest would reducing fat intake to a minimum then adding high fat 2days prior to contest. Basically instead of carbing up ill be fatting up in a sense.

Read it can actually hav better results can carbing up making your muscles fuller and being more vascular.

I did think about carbing up but when im substituting carbs for fat in my diet it would just make me look smooth and bloated, as the transition of th body using fat then changing to carbs for energy would be soon to adjust.

Has anyone tried this method? If not has anyone competed before and if so what was your pre-contest diet like?
