Default Pre contest dieting

Right im 7weeks into my contest diet already. I started out with high protein moderate carb and low fat. I gradually reduced my carb intake as th weeks went by and was seein good gains.

On th 6th week I decided to change my diet to high protein and high fat with very little carbs just comin from fiber, say 40g per day. this was done monday - friday. The reason for this was to change th body over from burning glucose to fat for energy.

And on th sat and sun I began to carb up with high protein, high carb and low fat. The reason for this is that I wanted to experiment with carbing prior to contest so i know how im feeling and how im looking

On th monday i did expect for my muscles to be full and still look ripped with veins popping out everywer as they wer the week b4. But wot i found is that my muscles wer full bt i looked a little bloated and looked alot leaner wen i was on high protein and high fat.

I dont want to make the mistake of doing this wen i step onstage in 8weeks.

Need sum feedback. should i carry on th same routine bt lower my carbs on th carbs up weekend? they wer around 350g/day. Or shud i go back to high protein low carb and low fat?

i think you have already made some observations on what works for you. obviously bloated is not a good look so try carbing up a little less or find what gets you full without the bloat. me personally i get bloated if i combine high protein and high carb.

now i have not competed but good luck and hope you find out what works for you.

cheers. yeh I do think that my carbs wer a little high when carbing up, around 350g. ill try lowering then a little to 150 - 200g and see how I look then.
