Meal schedules
We all keep pretty much different hours (10pm in bed to you may be 3am to me) so what is a good food intake cut-off time prior to laying it down for the night? 3-4 hours?
Thanks!

Edit: more of a maintenance question, not for bulking

I know that, but what I'm trying to ask is: If you have to be asleep by 11pm, about what time would your last meal of the day be?
Just as an example. It'll clarify my question.

I belive that was said with a good bit of sarcasm. unless your overeating there is no way your getting fat if your eating at 10 pm.. Myself I eat ligh in the evening but thats because I cant sleep with a belly full of food.

Does everyone else feel 3-4 hours is a good time frame?
My schedule is so sporadic I never know what hours I'll be working.

its ok.
but carb cutoff isn´t something you need to do. bottomline is calorie deficit=wheight loss.

it comes with time, young grasshoppa.
as for the meal timing before bed, it really is not going to make any discernible difference, especially during cutting/maintenance. calories are going to the single most important factor, most other things are just a negligibly significant details.

I always eat a slow digesting protein source ( Cottage cheese) right before bed. It helps to keep your metabolism up as you sleep. A lot of people even get up in the middle of the night to drink a quick protein shake.

I will agree here. I eat from the time I get until right at bed time... even when cutting. I personally can not go to bed on an empty stomach, I can't sleep. I don't have some huge meal but usually a casein (slow digesting) protein/shake and maybe a little all-bran fiber cereal. Total cals is king here and I just make sure I'm still in deficit by the end of the day.
I would also think you'd have a better chance at preserving muscle while cutting if you eat a protein source at bedtime...IMHO
