how to maximize my insulin?

I'm an insulin dependent diabetic. I would like to hear your guys's opinions on how to use that to my advantage since many take it w/o even having diabetes. I have the basic understanding to take more before you eat so you can get more food absorbed... but sometimes if i take too much then i'm forced to eat sugary products so i won't pass out... which isn't good. so any tips or advice in this area would be great too... thanks.

My advice would be NOT to try and manipulate it. Not saying you can't, but the amount of food you take in to maximize the insulin will prolly have some effect on your insulin levels anyway. Some others may have some opinions.
