topical shampoo

ok I bought some USP Spironolactone 5% I never used topicals before but I am going to start. The thing is I got it but there is no directions like how much do I use or how often to use this product? I bought a 8oz bottle of it. If you guys can help i would appreciate it.

I'm assuming you mean topical solution not shampoo? 5% spiro is strong stuff. I have a pretty decent sized thinning patch in back and on top and only .5ml is necessary to get a good dose over the whole area. 8 oz. should last you quite awhile.

docj how do you measure .5ml and how do you apply it? I meant topical solution sorry

I just use an old 1ml dropper that came with some generic minoxidil from SAMS Club.

Just be sure you wear some powerful cologne before you go out if you use both spiro and minox together. I apply spiro and minox (30 mins later) only at night, because for one they make your hair look like shit (I don't think minox really ever dries, it's so damn greasy). But the smell from combining the two of them is downright repugnant. Sorta like a dead skunk kinda smell.

Yup, it's pretty bad...I use minox a.m./p.m. but only use spiro in the a.m., leave it in for about 2 hours then shower/wash hair. If I used spiro at night I think my wife would boot me down to the couch every night.
