 About to begin new cycle(newbie)
About to begin a test cycle of test ETHANATE(250mg twice a week) This will be my first time and just wanted some thoughts and ideas from more experience users. I am 6'0, 230, 16% bodyfat and have been lifting for years. I am 43 years old and my Testosterone is low(122ng/mL Total Tos) probably due to the fact I have Mild Sleep Apnea but I have a CPAP. All other labs came back normal and yes I had extensive lab work done for this. So any thoughts, suggestions,, etc would greatly be appreciated. Is 250mg to much or to light? I am aware of PCT but what are your thoughts on what else to take while during the cycle? Things like that like that is what I am seeking. Thanks

do 400-600 mg a week of test eth or cyp IF you cycle but it sounds like your a real candidate for trt / hrt
NOT ONLY IS STUPIDITY INCURABLE BUT ITS ALSO CONTAGIOUS OVER THE INTERNET.
VAR ONLY CYCLES ARE ONLY FOR PEOPLE WITH A VAGINA.

Are you on permanent TRT for your low T?

DaDawg, are you suggesting that I don't do the test ETH but look into TRT. I was under the impression they were all the same

River, I am not on permanent TRT

Dadawg nailed it, I would talk to my doctor about TRT/HRT. They may refer you to an endocrinologist. And PCT is a different issue if you are on permanent TRT.

So what is the difference between TRT/HRT and doing a cycle of test Ethanate? Isn't the final result the same as far as raising the low Testosterone level?

TRT/HRT means your on cycle always, rather then just doing a cycle of test, doctors will inject you, not sure if they let you do your own self, its cheaper too because insurance companies will pay for it, results wont be as good though

Ohhhh, ok, thanks imdennis. So basically what you are saying is even if I do the test ethanate, I may end having to cycle all over again because I may or may not need TRT/HRT? Let me ask you this, do you think sleep apnea can cause low t as well? Just your opinion

Because if you just cycle then go back to your normal low T you've achieved very little. Of course you'll gain the benefits of the cycle but shortly there after you'll be right back to feeling sluggish, decreased libido, etc. My lowly suggestion is get your levels up and get used to that before you cycle. I had low T and I felt 19 again once put on TRT. And yes, most doctors will prescribe self injections, some won't but most will. A cycle right now just seems like a short term fix for a long term problem. Just my .02 though.

Appreciate your .02 cents river. Now when you say get my levels back up. You mean through TRT or try naturally first?

I mean if the doctor decides to put you on TRT to get your levels back up. The doctor will let you know if TRT is right for you. I'm in my early 30's and had low T, you being in your early 40's stand, theoretically, an even better chance of being a candidate for TRT.

And as a side note, once I started TRT I gained probably 10-12 lbs, strength, and size. So I know from personal experience that going from low levels to TRT doses improvement will be made. Of course it's not a massive improvement but I improved none the less.

TRT dose is around 150-200mg per week of test E. If you were to run it as a course then you should be looking around 500-600mg per week. If your natty test levels are low you will see great results from just 200mg per week. It is wise to get your bloods done every 10-12 weeks though just to check where you are and to see how your E2 levels are at this dose. Regarding TRT......Do you feel tired, irritable, low libido, abdominal weight gain, headaches? If so then TRT is for you! Your Dr may prescribe it to you, or if you are like me and in the UK then I self medicate as the Dr's here still live in the stone ages!!

Hey bro im 48 and been on TRT for 7 or 8 years...your doctor will require blood test every 6 months while on TRT just to check you levels... My doc lets me inject myself..so do some dont..but the $8 bottles of Watson test cyp thru ins are nice...after your on TRT for a while then you might want to decide to blast an up your test dose and maybe add in another compound or oral..But for starters go see your doc..with those low numbers you posted no way in hell he will deny you TRT...Run your TRT for 6 months till your first blood work #,s come back..then take it from there..Good luck bro

I want to clarify the above. HRT is "Hormone Replacement Therapy" and is replacing what your body is not producing. So let's say that for a guy your age, your total test should be around 600, then getting on some Testosterone to bring your levels up to at least that would be considered HRT. That is not considered cycling. Cycling is running 400-600mg per week which would put your total test level over 2000 at the minimum for most guys. So if you are looking to feel good and and want to get your levels to an appropriate range, then why don't you look at the TRT sub forum here and hit up IMT (IncreaseMyT) and see if they can help you out. Personally, I like to have my levels at around 900-1000 for my total testosterone reading. Good luck. Oh, and if you are going to do TRT, stick with injections only and stay clear from the gels, creams, or patches.

Thanks guys for the advice...much appreciated. Buildingpaul, to answer your questions, no I do not feel tired or sluggish, no low libido, and still have the same intensity in the gym. That is why I was surpsied at the low t. But keep in mind I have mild sleep apnea so that could play a role in the low t

yep evenafter cycle I think HRT/TRT is going to be for you.
I would rec the same 400-600 and go for 14 weeks, then PCT give it a couple months then go for blood work and get on hrt (prob better for you man)

a cycle is super high doses.
hrt is natural amounts like 100-200mg ew (100-150 ew seems the norm, but will vary person to person)
not the same thing
