rest is just as important as training / diet / steroids / food , without the proper time between workouts and sleep you cant recover .
NOT ONLY IS STUPIDITY INCURABLE BUT ITS ALSO CONTAGIOUS OVER THE INTERNET.
VAR ONLY CYCLES ARE ONLY FOR PEOPLE WITH A VAGINA.

LOL Ozzy...
I think the reason you feel tired when you sleep 10-12 hours is there are three stages to sleep, one stage where your just getting into sleep, one stage of deep sleep and another stage where your coming out.
Now if you sleep 6 hours and it takes you two hours to get into deep sleep and two hours to come out of it thats 2 hours you have to see those wet dreams so basically youve only been in deep slumber land for 2 hours and thats why you wake up a little more refreshed where as with 12 hours considering it still takes 2 hours for the first and third phase to commence your in slumber land for 8 hours, 4 times as much as with the the 6 hour sleepin interval.
This is just a theory I compiled so dont take it to the bank... I wake up with tons of energy when i sleep 6 hours or less but when i sleep 10-12 hours im so weak its unbelievable.. this is the only thing i can think of.

Well last year on TV (news) they did a study that people who slept longer than 8 hours a day had a few years taken away from their lives, same went for people who got less than 6 hours. But they you got to consider lifting weights, which they didnt. I'd say 8 hours is more than enough, cause if I get more than that I feel tired as shit all day long.

There is such a thing as too much sleep period. I haven't done 9/10 hours daily since high school, I was always slow to fall asleep and a lite sleeper also, so I had to be in bed longer.

meditation helps alot with rest, but i found that i sleep even less than usual when i meditate consistantly. strangely enough i feel more rested. i go for a half hour in the early morning and a half hour before going to sleep. i read somewhere that an hour of meditation equals (roughly) four hours of sleep.

An hour nap "equals" 3 hours of night sleep.

Since you didn't quote anyone I dont know if you mean me? I would not be one to envy, I hate not being someone who just hits the pillow and falls asleep. The only thing good about being a light sleeper, is home protection.
