300mg vs 600mg of testosterone

300 mg group-7 of the 12 men developed acne
600 mg group-2 of the 13 men developed acne

Why the heck do 60% of the men develop acne on 300mg and only 15% on 600mg?

I've heard of some people that cruise on 250-300mg of test year round say that they have probs with acne....but have no problems with acne when they "blast"(run a cycle).

The acne goes away when the dosage is increased...

So I'm wondering why?

My theory...

Is it because maybe they arent running a AI and the balance between estro and test was off balance...?Basically...Estro to high compared to the test..)??

Then when the dosage is increased the balance shifted to Testosterone being even more dominant in the system?

interesting.I was originally gonna say I know hormonal imbalance can cause break outs.But wasent connecting the estrogen and test levels.

Its interesting how a difference of an HRT/TRT dose of testosterone and running 500mg/600mg can cause a difference in sebum,the shit that cause acne from hormones.
There has to be more variables or your right in your theory more test in the lower dose is converting to estrogen causing the imbalance.

I would think it's because of the testing variable due to the small sample size. Only 25 total subjects were in the trial and some people are suceptible to acne and some aren't, its genetics.

Well, it depends on who did the sample size selection.

A random sample is the idea, but how can you get a good random sample of 25 people to determine the effects of a substance as it is related to 6 billion?

From what I've seen and I'm not a scientist, most controlled studies concerning humans, aren't very controlled. How do you control a person throughout their entire day, you can't. And then of course there's the issue with nature vs nurture!

Its odd that the lower dose would have a higher report of acne...I'm glad to see studies are showing therapeutic use of male horomone replacement(I don't even like to use the S word) is finally receiving positive reports in medical studies.. Remember the 70+ year old guy that looks better than most 30 year olds? He is proof enough for me that there is some benefit here...My grampa goes from bed to the kitchen chair to the barcalounger daily...that's it for him.. If he had the youthfulness of the 70 yo guy that has taken great care of himself, I'm sure his quality of life would be night and day... Just my two cents

Usually If you tell someone you are going to be taking 600 mg test,you will be warned into planning a PCT,and probably a SERM if not AI.
Most would say you'd be nuts not to.
It sounded to me like during this "Cycle" these guys had no Gyno listed as side effects, or even consideration of. Am I missing something here? Is it true that everyone that took 600 mg had no gyno?

That would be interesting.

gyno is real but its also something much more common on the internet than ive seen in real life as far as reffering to people running moderate cycles , mega cycles are a different story.

how do you expect much in the way of " clinical level facts " as you called it when your talking about taking what is usually a illegal substance in large doses. what few medical studies ive seen were from post menopausal women or cancer/hiv patients and not bodybuilders .

Yes,I realize that, but I am talking about what one would think would have slipped into mainstream knowledge like, do you or don't you take Nolva during a deca/test cycle? You will find some that say yes and some say it could magnify sides.I have read both sides debating but someone is wrong and someone is right. That is an example of something to find a "real" answer for. And Dadawg, I was listening when you said "gyno is real but its also something much more common on the internet than ive seen in real life"
That's why I responded to this thread. Not a word about gyno, or ancillary drugs needed in this study. They seemed to do fine without them. It just seems like many are out to scare people for some reason then when taking a mild cycle.
