No.....21g is fairly large. The bigger the number, the smaller the diameter. I use a 25g, 23 would be the largest I would use.

As for needle length, use 1.5" for glutes, and 1" for most other places.

man, i just switched from 25's to 23's...it is much better. i was using all my might to get that shit through a 25 man. 23's feel the same when they break the skin and it goes right in. never going back to 25's.

23G 1 1/4 " works well for me everywhere definitely 1.5" for glutes if you have > 12% BF. I also use the same pin to draw and shoot. My choice maybe down to lazyness can't be bothered with different pins and changing after drawing.
