Can someone help me decipher these cholesterol blood results

Total cholesterol < 4.0 mmol/litre
LDL cholesterol < 2.0 mmol/litre

Serum total cholesterol level 3.5 mmol/L
Serum cholesterol/HDL ratio 3.9
Serum HDL cholesterol level 0.9 mmol/L
Serum LDL cholesterol level 2.3 mmol/L
Serum triglycerides 0.7 mmol/L (.5-1.7)

After fasting for 8hrs

There should be a range a normal range on your blood test.Sorry cant help values are not expressed on blood tests in the US like that.Orals alot of times will lower HDL and raise LDL.

mmol/litre is more commonly used in Europe.

To convert to mg/dl your cholesterol figures need to be multiplied by 39, and your triglycerides by 89.

so your mg/dl readings would be:

Total cholesterol < 156 md/dl
LDL cholesterol < 78 mg/dl

Serum total cholesterol level 136.5 md/dl
Serum cholesterol/HDL ratio 3.9
Serum HDL cholesterol level 35.1 mg/dl
Serum LDL cholesterol level 89.7 mg/dl
Serum triglycerides 62.3 mg/dl

Your HDL is a bit low. A healthy level is supposed to be 55mg/dl or higher.

I think the rest looks OK.
