i feel that i have monitored my sides, i have gauged my progress weekly, and i wonder if i am experiencing somewhat of a plateau. i dont want to seem impatient - and i dont feel that i am getting the "competitor panic" that comes when close to show. I would really appreciate a little guidance here, since upping the dose isnt a little decision.

The bottom line is anavar just does not work well for some. It is often thought th be a good fat burner but lots believe it is overated. You could be one who does not get much out of anavar.
If you do up the dose you are risking permanent side effects such as the deep voice.
If you are not worried about permanent side effects than feel free to up the dose. I would do 12.5 but it's up to you. You are the one taking the risk.
Usually by 8.5 weeks most see some changes.
I suspect your training or diet is probably more of the problem than the anavar.
