IMO its best to use clen during a cycle in which your primary goal is to get shredded.

You can use it while off cycle. However, you're most likely going to sacrifice SOME degree of muscle, even if training and nutrition protocols are immaculately spot-on.

Trying to cut and bulk at the same time are two conflicting goals. IMO you're either bulking or cutting, never trying to do both simultaneously.
